Pretty Little Liars Returns!

I'm sooo excited for Pretty Little Liars to return! A few trailers have come out for the season 2 premiere, which is June 14th on ABC family! Sooo excited, it looks so suspenseful and mysterious, as always! There are quite a few things I want to see now, based on the few trailers I've seen. One of them called "Sweety" is actually a clip of Hanna and Mona discussing the letter from Caleb that Mona did not give to Hanna. And then, there's Spencer and Toby kissing :) my favorite, SPOBY!!! Love it! And then someone is holding an ultrasound thing, so who else could be pregnant? I don't think it's Melissa though, because she' farther along...? Maybe Hanna, or Spencer? The girl looked like she had dark hair though. Hmmm... this is like really suspenseful now. I really want to see what happens between Aria and Ezra! Remember, Aria had been mad because Ezra had lied about Jackie? I hate Jackie right now, honestly. She's ruining Ezria, my second favorite couple!!! And what about Em and Paige? There was absolutely none of them in the season 1 finale! And, most importantly, IAN! What is going to happen? I think he's still alive, honestly. Or did A take his body? Sooo happy this is coming back. Hopefully there won't be a mid-season finale during this one lol. This is the best TV show ever invented, and hopefully it stays that way. I'm sure it will though! And now I shall insert the trailer...

May 8th is bad luck, and donuts!

Yuck. Donuts are like disgusting. And now I will tell this story to you about why I say such a thing and give two examples of what the problem with May 8th is. Oh, and hope you don't puke after reading this lol. Don't read if you're squeamish! :) So here we go... It all started on May 8th, 2005. It was Mother's Day, and we all went to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. (And by we I mean my family and I) and I had 3 donuts - I think two were glazed and one was glazed with sprinkles? I don't remember. Anyway, the donuts were absolutely amazing! I think I had a smoothie too that day lol. But anyway, we had gotten two dozen or so donuts that day, and of course there were leftovers, so we took them home, rather than wasting, obviously. So after lunch that day, I had another donut, which I think was jelly. And then with my dinner that night I had another donut, it was chocolate glazed, I remember that for a fact. So, if you did the math, that was like, 5 donuts, and this was over 6 years ago, so I was quite young. Well at 8-ish at night, I kindof puked. And then again at 10. But see, the thing is, I've never eaten a donut since that little incident, and, I've never puked since then either!!! And then, May 8th, 2010, my sister caught this stomach bug and just puked like evrywhere, all day. See? I think there's something behind that, and it's not a coincidental thing! Don't you agree? Oh, but I still eat donut holes, sometimes, but only the jelly ones. And sometimes Toaster Strudels for breakfast, but only the strawberry kind. They taste, like exactly like a donut! *sigh*

Born This Way, Judas, The Edge of Glory!

Okay, so Lady Gaga's new album, Born This Way, is coming out on May 23, a week from this coming Monday. I've heard all 3 of her new songs, and I have to say, they all are amazing. Actually, while I'm typing this out, I have them playing, rit now, Judas is playing on my playlist. The 3 new songs, obviously, you can tell from the title, are Born This Way, Judas, and The Edge of Glory. All 3 are amazing, like I said, but my favorite is The Edge of Glory, then Judas, then Born This Way. I bought The Edge of Glory the day it came out, which was just 4 days ago lol. It's AMAZING. It's actually inspired by her grandfather's death. It's about living on the edge during the last moment of that thing we call life :) So, yes, it's about deth, but still, a fantastic song altogether!!!! Judas is a really good, catchy song as well... "I'm just a holy fool, oh baby he's so cruel, but I'm still in love with Judas baby..." hahaha it's so catchy! Love it, and The Edge of Glory is also an amazing song, as mentioned Born This Way is good oo, but lol I'm kind of sick of it because I've heard it SO MANY TIMES! Lol...

Blogging schedule?

Yes, I was planning on blogging every day this past week. And no, I did not get to lol. So I'm thinking maybe I should post like a gazillion times on weekends and try to post every day during the week...if I get to it, that is. I've been really busy with dance and school...my dance recital is next weekend. yes, I dance, yes, I do ballet hahaha :) So anyway, I think that's what I'll end up doing. You guys okay with that? Lol. I actully just tried to film a video yesterday but there's something wrong with the camera the file won't move to my computer for some reason. Blahhhh.

Saturday, May 7, 2011

This day at my school. It's called last yesterday, May 6, 2011.

Ok, so I'd put in the name of the day, but then I'm sure you could just Google it and learn what school I go too. So I won't name the day, but I'll tell you it's really fun. Basically, it's just this day where, once a school year, rather than regular classes, we get to pick fun classes. It's amazing. I'll get into more detail later about the classes I took and picked and liked. But anyway, it's so. much. fun. Now I'm not sure what I wanna be when I'm older too. I could be a massage therapist, scientist, FBI agent, yoga instructor, artist...there are so many possibilities that this day introduced to me. And yes, we do get to pick our own classes. The classes I ended up getting were not what I had hoped for, but anyway, they were a lot of fun! I enjoyed every one of them! So, the classes I took are as follows:
1. Biotech was about test tubes, bottles, and germs. It was alot of fun, we could see real blood under a microscope and learn about strange diseases, see real E.coli and strep throat, use the pee machine. I enjoyed it, even if it is a lil' bit nerdy hahaha. I liked it though, we a lso could try on lab coats and pretty purple gloves. I took this class second period, because we did not have any classes 1st period yesterday.
2. Crime Doesn't Pay was the second class I picked, and I'm so excited I got to go to this one! A real FBI agent, as well as a CSI agent came in! It was so cool. Maybe I should become an FBI agent? They showed us some of the tools they used, and told us some stories. They were actually really funny, and I'm surprised I enjoyed it so much!!!
3. Massage Therapy was next. I loved it, actually, we learned massage techniques and then my friend and I gave each other hand massages with this really yummy-scented lotion. It was amazing and my hands felt so soft and smooth afterward. I. Love. It.
4. Illustration Know-How was another class I took. This amazing artist came in, gave everyone a poem by Shel Silverstein, and then we all had to draw a picture inspired by the poem. I didn't finish mine though...oh well haha. It was fun, my poem was about people on Mars.
5. Yoga 101 was the last and final class, it was good. Honestly, I think my English teacher is a much better yoga instructor though (no offense!) but maybe it was because right next door there was this really loud dodgeball game going on and it wasn't as relaxing for me? Hahaha idk.

The Story of Cosmetics

Here is that video I talked about 2 posts ago. I like it; it's very informative.Ok, here it is. Enjoy! And beware.

blah blah blah.

I am just sitting at my computer right now being bored and not doing much of anything, except blogging, obviously. Not that I have a lot of topics to blog about. Well, I could do a review on thi lipgloss, but I only got t a few hours ago and have used it just once lol, so it would be kindof hard to do a review on it. I guess I could work on my P!nk project, that's due soon. blah blah blah. I wonder if there's a way to put videos in a blog post? Hmmm...that would be amazing. Oooooh, you can! I wonder how this will turn out...

Toxic chemicals are in cosmetics everywhere!

Girls; The last time you swiped on that shiny new peach lipgloss, did you ever think about what really was IN it? Unfortunately, probably not. There are several toxins and poisnous chemicals in cosmetics everywhere! Parabens, toluene, even fragrance, plus a ton more, are all toxic to the body and can lead to health problems later on in life. Take, for example, a lotion. No, I suppose you wouldn't call lotion a cosmetic, but still, let's just use it as an example. Many lotions and other moisturizing products have something called a paraben in it, which mimics estrogen. This is just one example, although there are a ton more. One of the worst is toluene. Luckily, most products have stayed away from those REALLY bad chemicals, such as toluene, but most companies still have several bad chemicals in them. I'd say, at least 90% of products I own have fragrance in them. So, here's an example of how harmful this is. On a scale of 0-10, 0 is the best for you and totally safe, but 10 is the worst and obviously most likely to bring about health problems. So, take, for example, a scented SECRET deodorant. On this scale, this product is a 4, but Secret unscented deodorant? It's a 2. Just taking out fragrance cuts the number in half. Just because something says "organic, natural, etc" does not mean its safe for you to use. Fortunately, there are several companies, such as Yes to Carrots, Burt's Bees, California Baby, etc. that signed this contract saying all of their products are safe. Back to that scale thing we used, pretty much all California Baby products are a 0. It's hard to understand why all of these chemicals and toxins are in normal everyday beauty products, especially when several of them, such as shampoo, is so commaonly used! Essie nail polish? It's an 8 on the scale. That's bad. Fortunately, there are several websites out there that tell you different ways to stay safe, and I will tell you about some of them!
1. http://www.safecosmetics.org/ is the first one. This is the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, which features several harmful ingredients, as well as a full list of companies who signed the contract. This also features the video "The Story of Cosmetics" which is an excellent video that I suggest you go watch.
2. http://www.ewg.org/ is another good one. "EWG": stands simply for "Environmental Working Group" This website has a ton of articles about teens and beauty, as well as what's in different beauty products, and some ingredients to look out for. Not only does this website tell about cosmetics, but also about foods, radiation from cell phones, etc.
3. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ is another good website. This will redirect you to a site by EWG. This is excellent, you type in the name of a product and it tells you how bad it is for you, why, and you get to see what ingredients are in it and why they're bad. This doesn't have every single product out there, but there are several.
4. http://www.burtsbees.com/c/commitment/ I LOVE Burt's Bees lipgloss, this one I have right now is amazing. This is just a commitment promising that everything is natural. Also, if you have a Burt's Bees product and take a closer look at the container, you will see that they are Natural Products Association certified. Burt's Bees = awesome.
Bottom line: No, you don't have to stop using cosmetics and beauty products and makeup. However, I am just saying this as a warning to you, and I am trying to say that you should be careful about what ingredients are in ywhat you put on your body.

I've been so busy.

Ok, I have been really busy over this past week, which is why I haven't blogged alot. I've had a ton of big projects, still working on the Curie project for French, as well as a fun biography project for English. Yes, I said fun. The project is on a poet or singer/songwriter. My English teacher is amazing and she let us pick who we wanted to do. I had wanted to do Katy Perry, but someone took that before me, because we picked using this lottery system thing. Anyway, I have a project on P!NK and am sooo excited! I loooove P!nk, she has a very inspiring story and her music is amazing. So excited for this project. I'm gonna play Perfect while I present on Thursday, too! Yeayyyy! Hahaha my English teacher is the best! And then, also, I've been really busy with dance Usually I have just one class each week, but these past few weeks I've had two, because we're getting ready for the recital. And my feet like, kill me, thanks to the blisters caused by my pointe shoes lol. Anyway, I'm gonna go write some more fun posts. And tomorrow I have a great, but somewhat disturbing, true, story to tell you all!

The Royal Wedding

Ok, when it comes to thinking about different topics to blog about, I completely forgot about The Royal Wedding lol. I don't know how that's possible. No, I did not watch the entire thing. Yes, my mother tried to wake me up at 5AM to watch the wedding, but being the procrastinator that I am, and being as tired as I was, I was too lazy to get up so I just went back to sleep for another hour and a half. Then I got up, it was a school morning, so I just got ready then was able to watch a few minutes of the wedding before going to school Friday morning. First of all, I have to say, even though Kate's dress was quite modest, she did look really good in it! I loved her hair and makeup also, her skin was like, really radiant hahaha. It looked amazing on camera. And her hair was in perfect curls, with the Cartier tiara she was wearing, she looked like, stunning lol/ And then, William, I loved the bright red on him...soooo his color hahaha. He and Kate looked amazing together. And Pippa... I was surprised she wore a white dress! It was very pretty though, I liked it! And the afterparty gown was really pretty too, in my opinion, I liked it more than Kate's afterparty dress, no offense. If you haven't seen it, it's this long flowy blue-green gown with a deep-V neck... sooo pretty lol. Kate's was pretty too though. And did anyone else see the picture of William and Kate's kiss, with the frownibng crying girl in the back? hahaha I thought that was hilarious :) heetee. Unfortunately, I did not see the kiss live, but I did get a chance to see it later Friday afternoon. Overall, I liked this royal wedding, it was good. William and Kate look cute together :) And now I shall attach 2 pictures...
Okay, this first one is of Kate's sister Pippa Middleton, aka the Maid of Honor, in her afterparty dress! Isn't it super pretty???

And of course I had to put a picture of William and Kate's kiss!
