Shopping!

Okay, so you probably won't believe this, but I haven't been clothes shopping in over a month. That includes shoes/bags/clothes/etc. Yes, a month! But now, it's Memorial Day weekend and I am finally getting around to going shopping, today or tomorrow, at Target. I love Target though, seriously, their juniors clothes are so cute, as well as Forever 21. I saw a ton of really cute things I wanted at Target. The thing is, I'm trying to save my money for a Tiffany bracelet, which I did a blog post on a long long time ago. But anyway I found these really cute white shorts, as well as this really cute white dress. And not to menton it's after Memorial Da, meaning I can wear white without looking crazed. But yeahhhh Target has a ton of cute, flowy tanks that I absolutely love! I'll have to post pictures sometime...hahaha:) But like most girls, I absolutely LOVE shopping. Which is why I'm so excited. I don't have any casual spring/summer dresses, so I definitely want to get that white one. I actually only have one dress but it's a sweater dress. Where I live, two days ago, it reached over 90 degrees, so definitely, I am NOT wearing a sweater dress. Lol I don't know what else there is to say really, teehee.I guess I should go make a video for like, some kind of music by Lady Antebellum... a lyric video for Love This Pain, maybe? Stars Tonight? Ready to Love Again? Hahaha I'm not sureeee...*sigh* I'll ttyl! With love, A

The Irregular Verb "Aller"

I know my blog is getting to be a French class, but oh well. If you couldn't tell, I am impossibly bored. Whatever. I suppose I'll go over the irregular verb "aller," which means "to go." Yes, "Aller" does look a lot like an -er verb, but yet, it is not, it has a completely different form, and you cannot really chnange it like you would change an -er verb. So here's the form of aller...
Je vais
Tu vas
Il/elle va
Vous allez
Nous allons
Ils/elles vont
You might be like, "Where does the v come from?" Hahaha idk either. But hey, "go" is an irregular verb in English right? the past tense is "went" - now where does that w come from? Idk. Now, remember in French the second verb does not change, so if a was going to say I was going to go to school, I would say, "Je vais aller a l'ecole" but with accents on "a" and the e in "ecole" hahaha but I don't have accents on this computer...*sigh* hope you enjoyed my mini French lessons. And hope it wasn't too confusing.

The form of a verb. In French!

I'm really bored. Can you not tell? I guess I'll show you guys the forms of an -er verb in French. I'll give you som examples of an -er verb, and what it means.
Adorer (To love)
Aimer (To like)
Jouer (To play)
Miauler (To meow)
Chanter (To sing)
Danser (To dance)
Travailler (To work)
Marcher (To walk)
Voyager (To travel)
Manger (To eat)

So those are just to name a few, there are a ton more as well as -ir verbs, -re verbs, and then irregular verbs, etc. But anyway, here are some pronouns...

Je (I)
Tu (You)
Il (He)
Elle (She)
Nous (Us)
Vous (You, used whn talking to an adult that's not a family member, or 2+ people)
Ils (They)
Elles (They, when all subjects are female)

So you pick any -er verb. For example, let's use the verb "adorer," which means "to love." The first thing you need to do is take of the "er" at the end.

Je ador
Tu ador
Il ador
And so on...

Then, you add a different ending to the verb, determined by the pronoun. Here are the -er verb endings.

Je:
-e

Tu:
-es

Il/Elle:
-e

Vous:
-ez

Nous:
ons

Ils/elles:
-ent

So, it would be...
Je adore
Tu adores
Il adore
Elle adore
Vous adorez
Nous adorons
Ils adorent
Elles adorent

With the ils and elles form, you do not pronounce the "ent" so you would pronounce it like "Il adore"

Sigh I know you guys probably don't really need to know this, but whatever. As you can see, I am really bored. With <3, Ali

Welcome to The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance

When I was a young boy, my father took me into the city to see a marching band. He said, "Son when you grow up, would you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the d*mned?" He said "Will you defeat them, your demons, and all the non-believers? The plans that they have made. Because one day, I'll leave you, a phantom to lead you in the summer, to join the black parade."

Love love love this song. That is all.

blah blah blah (part 3)

Ok, I don't know what to type. I guess, you could say, I'm procrastinating, becase I'm supposed to be doing my science homework and writing up a lab, and also working on my poetry book, which, when done, will have 8 poems in it, and then like a dedication page, a quote page, a cover (obviously), a Table of Contents, an autobiography... I'm still not sure who to dedicate it to. I have several options - my family, my friends, my teachers, Lady Antebellum, who is, my inspiration. I'm not quite sure who I want to dedicate my poetry book to. Maybe my French teacher, who's retiring this year, or perhaps someone else. The dedication part I feel is the hardest part of the poetry book. Maybe I'll dedicate it to everyone, I gues? We can dedicate it to more than one person.I'm not quite so sure. Dedication has never been so hard, in any author and/or poet's life. Anyway, I'm also texting two of my friends, Annie, and also my friend who I've known since the summer between preschool and kindergarten, almost a decade ago. Maybe I'll dedicate it to her? hahaha this is so hard. But anyway, then there's my Lady Antebellum obsession, which is my new favorite. I got the CD from the library yesterday, all the songs are amazing. I really like "Love This Pain," "Our Kind of Love," "American Honey," and of course, "Need You Now." All the songs are amazing though. Teehee :)

I don't understand... (A poem by meeee)

I don't understand
     why people have flaws,
     why siblings fight,
why the world requires so many laws.

But most of all
     why wars exist,
     why love is hard,
     why people are missed.
     why castles need guards.

What I understand most is
     why flowers bloom,
     why girls love shopping,
     why there's a sun and a moon,
     why bunnies go hopping. ♥

My format on an autobiagrophyyy!!!

I have to do this autobiography as part of an English project. My friend Annie wrote a poem about me, so I will include that, but I also want to write a paragraph about me. I'm not sure what to do though, so I thought I'd tell you the format I have planned in my head right now and I could go back and edit after you guys give me your ideas and suggestions! :) I was thinking about maybe like, giving myself a survey? Hahaha I want this to be amazing, because I'm like a perfectionist lol and this is actually p[art of a book. Still not sure who to dedicate iot to though. *sigh*

[My full name] is a [My grade] at [My school] She loves to write poetry and is inspired by {Whatever I'm inspired by, I guess] She loves shopping, spending time with friends, and listening to music. [My name] says "I like poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick"

And then I'd add the poem, a picture of meee, and then, maybe a little something else. Like, my favorite quotes? Idk, maybe I could get my friends involved? Hahaha I love things like this :)

Making over my blog

Okay, I said I was done blogging for today, but I guess I lied lol. Anyway, I've just spent the past hour trying to update this blog and make it prettiful for you guys, I made a background on Paint, only for Blogger to not allow me to upload and use it because there were internal errors or whatever. Haha oh well, it's on my YouTube, go see it there. it took me forever to make that, so I hope you like it. I'm sure you can tell that I very obviously changed the fonts and colors though and changed it up a bit and made it a lot prettier, in my opinion at least. I still do need to make a few changes, like change my banner at the top. Well anyway, ttfn, I'm going to go try to finish off the makeover. xo, Ali

Relationships should not be built on sneaking around.

Sorry, that was just the sentence thatb was in my head. Lol I was going back and reading through Annie's blog and that was in there, based on Aria and Ezra, my fav couple from Pretty Little Liars, which is, obviously, my favorite show. Anyway, I think it's time to give this blog a makeover. What do you think? I think yes. But anyway, I meant to make this a playlist, with like 5-10 of my favorite songs currently. Okay, here goes...
10. Bluebird by Christina Perri
9. Hair by Lady GaGa
8. I Won't by Colbie Caillat
7. F**kin' Perfect by P!nk
6. Judas by Lady GaGa
5. Need You Now by Lady Antebellum
4. Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri
3. To Find Perfect by Alyssa Shouse
2. The Edge of Glory by Lady GaGa
1. Just a Kiss by Lady Antebellum

That's all for now. I am going to go and give this blog a makeover, I think. Yes, a makeover. Okay, that's all :) Ta ta! -Ali ♥

Last night!

Last night was like, a super busy night for me. I had my dress rehearsal for dance - full costume, plus full h&m (hair and makeup) - it was fun, but I'm only in one dance, which is towards the end of the 3 hour show, so basically I just sat around for a few hours and texted Annie (http://www.sparkleshinebeautify.blogspot.com) and then my other friend featured in the blog post about drawing hearts. Lol texting my friends makes everything a lot more enjoyable. I'm kind of obsessed with my phone. Anyway, the rehearsal is 45 minutes away from where I live. So the entire way there, as well as the entire way back, I listened to "Just a Kiss" by Lady Antebellum on repeat lol. If you know me, you know that once I decided a song is my new fav, I listen to it on repeat constantly until a new better song comes out. But anyway, so back at the rehearsal (which is at this highschool) I was sitting on the floor in my costume (well, I was sitting on top of my sweatshirt) eating lotsa snacks 9cookies, brownies, fruit snacks, red velvet cake, Craisins...) and then drinking my new fav, Lipton Diet Iced Green Tea - Citrus. My friend, "E" introduced it to me a few days ago and I fell in love with it! Lol and anyway, my feet killed (my pointe shoes are a tad small) and I'm texting two of my best friends in like the whole world. Then my friend had to go becausse he was playing The Simpsons Wii (two of his favs - The Simpsons and Wii lol) so I'm just sitting there bored texting Annieeee. *sigh* it was a long night. I didn't mess up my dance, though, or forget anything, so that's definitely good. The actual recital's tomorrow. I'll have to blog about how that goes. *sigh* i'm gonna open a new blog post now and basicallt just create a playlistttt of some sort ;)
With <3,
Ali

Lady Antebellum (Just a Kiss) ♥

Ok, I officially have a new favorite music group. Their name is Lady Antebellum. Love, love, love! They make amazing music, and I'm kind of mad at myself for not discovering them earlier and listening to them earlier. I love all of their music, in fact, their song Just a Kiss is my favorite of all time. The lyrics to every one of their songs is quite inspirational and written honestly and I absolutely love it. From Need You Now - "Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor. Reaching for the phone because I can't fight it anymore. And I wonder if I ever cross your mind. For me it happens all the time... It's a quarter after one, and I'm all alone and I need you now." From Just a Kiss - "Just a kiss on your lips in the moonlight. Just a touch in the fire burning so bright. No I don't wanna mess this thing up, no I don't wanna push too far. Just a shot in the dark that you just might be the one I've been waiting for my whole life" And even the instrumentals are amazing as well. And most instrumentals are so-so, but Lady Antebellum's are fantastic,. Each note played fits the song perfectly. Not to mention all 3 members of this successful trios have amazing voices and skills. Lady Antebellum, I love you! Hahaha I'm addicted, in fact, as I type this, "Just a Kiss" is playing on my playlist lol. It's been on repeat on my iPod for the 2 whole days since I bought it on iTunes. And last night I fell asleep listening to it teehee. I'll get to that in my next post though because that's a super long story. But anyway, I am so impressed with Lady Antebellum's music. I'll love their music forever and always ♥

blah blah blah.(again)

I'm not sure to blog about. I suppose I could also title this post "LJBASWCU" aka "Let's just blog and see what comes up" lol. But personally I like the title this blog has right now better. So, basically, I just do these sort of bogs when I don't know what to talk about but I feel like blogging. So, I suppose it would be appropriate to start off by telling you what I'm doing right now. Well, I'm listening to Kiss n Tell by Ke$ha, well, Animal, now, and I'm texting 3 people, 2 of which I know are allowed to give out their real names, Annie and Sam, and then another friend (the guy who I was talking about in the how to draw a heart post) and of course, I'm blogging about who knows what.I remember when I first made this blog and just would blog about whatever came to my mind, that was fun lol. So I guess I'll try that again? Hahaha I don't know. Ok, OPI Shatter.has come out with a ton of new colors recently. Not only do they have Black Shatter, but now they also have White, Silver, Turqupise, Blue, Red, and also Navy. I really love the Silver one. I already have the Black, I think I really want the Silver one now. It's metallic and super pretty, I've seen a couple YouTube videos on it. Of course, the other colors all sound fun too. The Turquoise sounds like it would be super pretty I think. It's kind of hard to not like something OPI hahaha I'm obsessed with OPI. Ooh now listening to Take It Off - lol I'm logged into my http://www.playlist.com/ account in another window and am just listening to whatever comes on, because I am too lazy to change it. Hahaha okay maybe I'll go change it to Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri. For a slow song, that song is super good. And Bluebird is quite decent too, also by Christina Perri. Ooh, speaking of which, has anyone else heard Lady Gga's new song Hair? i think it's kinda strange but it definitely has a catchy tune. It didn't pop out at me like The Edge of Glory, but I can definitely say that overall, I like the song. *sigh* music is like my life, if you haven't noticed. I'm kind of obsessed! My favorite is for sure, pop, and country is decent, I love Taylor Swift. And rock, sometimes, in the case of like, Avril Lavigne. Hahaha but I don't like, like, reggae, and all that. I love pop though. My fave. I like Rihanna, like, Disturbia, and Only Girl In The World. At the moment, Lady Gaga is my absolute favorite. I'm so phsyched for her Born This Way album, which comes out in just 5 days! Yeahhhh! So excited. I'll have to buy that on iTunes, of course, I'm saving up my iTunes credit for Pretty Little Liars episodes. Ooh, song has changed to Yeah3x by Chris Brown. teehee well I guess I've blogged enough for tonight, haven't I? Lol I'll hopefully be back on tomorrow! xoxo

Sarah Dessen!

I've recently gotten really into the author Sarah Dessen, after reading just one book of hers, That Summer. It's super good, about this 15 year old girl Haven and her sister's wedding and father's second wedding and her height...it's just really good and well-written. I've actually recently just ordered the second book by her, Someone Like You, from my local library online. It sounds interesting lol. I've gotten so into reading lately, I've read quite a bit the past few weeks. The entire L.A. Candy series by Lauren Conrad, and currently I'm reading Heartless, the seventh book in the Pretty Little Liars series. Which is amazing. But anyway, this blog is about Sarah Dessen, not Lauren Conrad or Sara Shepard or anyone like that, no offense. Haha. But anyway, Sarah Dessen writes amazing novels for young adults, so relatable and amazing. Sooo good. I mean, seriously, you have to go read one. Lol I want to read all of hers haha. Dreamland sounds really good, as does Lock and Key, and all her other books. :)

Why do I need to know the parts of a suspension bridge?

I just finished my homework, which means I get to blog (yeay!) So anyway, my homework was to find all the freakin parts of a suspension bridge (and no that was not a swear fyi) but who really cares about a stupid suspension bridge? I mean, really? I'm not gonna be like a bridge builder! *sigh* No one cares about this, I don't really give a crap of te many different types of bridges - truss, bam, arch, suspension, I DON'T CARE. I understand that yes, I need this knowledge next year when it comes time to take the state-wide science and engineering tests...it's all very pointless. I AM NOT going to be an engineer, and anyone who is, they can go to engineer school, but seriously, there are some classes which is crap. A lot of things we learn in school just go to waste. Like how to find the volume of a cylinder (I got like a 100 on the test lol but still) *sigh* some things are very, very pointless, such as the parts of a very stupid suspension type bridge.

Tomorrow is my sister's birthday... ☺

So tomorrow, May 16, is my sister "peaceypenguin's" birthday. I'm not gonna say her actual name or how old she'll be though hahaha. But anyway, since tomorrow is Monday, we decided to just celebrate her birthday today rather than tomorrow just because it was a lot easier this way. So we just did that,. and now, I'm sitting here blogging about it. Well, she got two cakes, this red velvet cake with cream cheese icing, and also, her favorite, chocolatewith chocolate icing and a chocolate drizzle thing. I actually only had the red velvet, because I despise chocolate cake, it was amazingly good, considering it came from Walmart lol, no offense. But anyway, the cake was really good! Then she opened all her presents and got a penguin pillow pet, Club Penguin membership card, Nintendo DSI Club Penguin game, a bag of Sour Patch, a gift card, and this really pretty tee shirt from Abercrombie Kids that I'm kind of jealous of lol. So, my day has been pretty plain so far. I'm just wearing my hot pink sweatpants and this tee shirt, my hair's up, and I'm wearing no makeup lol. I don't look that bad though, I mean, my hair is straightened. I tried to film a video like fifteen minutes ago only to learn that the camera had run out of battery. Oh well, I'll try again later. I actually did film one Friday then i tried to pload it but it didn't want to move itself from the camera to the computer. *sigh* Anyway, Happy birthday sis and I'll blog again tomorrow. xoxo

How do you draw a heart?

How do you "correctly" draw a heart? I don't know lol! So the other day in French, we had a substitute teacher and whenever that happens, our French teacher has us do pages in this workbook and we can work with partners. So, the boy who sits in front of me, (who I kind of like ;) asks me to work with him. He's also like my best friend so obviously I said yes. But then my other friend got all mad because she wanted to work with me lol and she had to work with this boy who's a teensy bit strange so after me and my friend finish our work (well, I did most of it while he folds origami bunnies hahaha) my other friend comes over, who is also a friend of his, and makes a heart, like, with her hands, because we both kinda like each other :) So another friend had drawn a heart on my folder and so the friend who had wanted to work with me looks at it and says "What is that?" so I'm like "it's a heart!" So then she's like, "Really? It looks like [Something else]" So then me and my friend that I did the French with start cracking up and I'm like "I didn't even draw this!" so then I draw a heart. So then the girl who wanted to work with me says "That's not a heart!" and she draws her version of a heart (me and my guy friend both agree it looks a lot more like an arrow lol) so then HE starts drawing hearts...lol confusing I know, but it's just one of those things where you had to be there for it to make sense hahaha. But we just drew hearts like the entire class lol... ♥

My P!nk Project!

I cropped out all personal info :) And there's an 8th page too, but that's just my Works Cited thing.

There is a new playlist on this blog!!!!

Scroll down a bit, and you'll see my playlist, taken from www.playlist.com which I've mentioned in several blog posts! Listen if you wanna, I love every song on there!!!

Mini fridges!

Everyone should get a mini fridge or two for their bedroom, shouldn't they? I think so too. What happens when you wake up in the middle of the night with a sore throat or something and you don't feel like moving too much? A mini fridge would solve that problem perfectly! And a stylish mini fridge, even better! I think I want a pink or purple one, to match my room. Or even better, stainless steel and then a bunch of magnets and Pretty little Liars poster! What do you think?

Pretty Little Liars Returns!

I'm sooo excited for Pretty Little Liars to return! A few trailers have come out for the season 2 premiere, which is June 14th on ABC family! Sooo excited, it looks so suspenseful and mysterious, as always! There are quite a few things I want to see now, based on the few trailers I've seen. One of them called "Sweety" is actually a clip of Hanna and Mona discussing the letter from Caleb that Mona did not give to Hanna. And then, there's Spencer and Toby kissing :) my favorite, SPOBY!!! Love it! And then someone is holding an ultrasound thing, so who else could be pregnant? I don't think it's Melissa though, because she' farther along...? Maybe Hanna, or Spencer? The girl looked like she had dark hair though. Hmmm... this is like really suspenseful now. I really want to see what happens between Aria and Ezra! Remember, Aria had been mad because Ezra had lied about Jackie? I hate Jackie right now, honestly. She's ruining Ezria, my second favorite couple!!! And what about Em and Paige? There was absolutely none of them in the season 1 finale! And, most importantly, IAN! What is going to happen? I think he's still alive, honestly. Or did A take his body? Sooo happy this is coming back. Hopefully there won't be a mid-season finale during this one lol. This is the best TV show ever invented, and hopefully it stays that way. I'm sure it will though! And now I shall insert the trailer...

May 8th is bad luck, and donuts!

Yuck. Donuts are like disgusting. And now I will tell this story to you about why I say such a thing and give two examples of what the problem with May 8th is. Oh, and hope you don't puke after reading this lol. Don't read if you're squeamish! :) So here we go... It all started on May 8th, 2005. It was Mother's Day, and we all went to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. (And by we I mean my family and I) and I had 3 donuts - I think two were glazed and one was glazed with sprinkles? I don't remember. Anyway, the donuts were absolutely amazing! I think I had a smoothie too that day lol. But anyway, we had gotten two dozen or so donuts that day, and of course there were leftovers, so we took them home, rather than wasting, obviously. So after lunch that day, I had another donut, which I think was jelly. And then with my dinner that night I had another donut, it was chocolate glazed, I remember that for a fact. So, if you did the math, that was like, 5 donuts, and this was over 6 years ago, so I was quite young. Well at 8-ish at night, I kindof puked. And then again at 10. But see, the thing is, I've never eaten a donut since that little incident, and, I've never puked since then either!!! And then, May 8th, 2010, my sister caught this stomach bug and just puked like evrywhere, all day. See? I think there's something behind that, and it's not a coincidental thing! Don't you agree? Oh, but I still eat donut holes, sometimes, but only the jelly ones. And sometimes Toaster Strudels for breakfast, but only the strawberry kind. They taste, like exactly like a donut! *sigh*

Born This Way, Judas, The Edge of Glory!

Okay, so Lady Gaga's new album, Born This Way, is coming out on May 23, a week from this coming Monday. I've heard all 3 of her new songs, and I have to say, they all are amazing. Actually, while I'm typing this out, I have them playing, rit now, Judas is playing on my playlist. The 3 new songs, obviously, you can tell from the title, are Born This Way, Judas, and The Edge of Glory. All 3 are amazing, like I said, but my favorite is The Edge of Glory, then Judas, then Born This Way. I bought The Edge of Glory the day it came out, which was just 4 days ago lol. It's AMAZING. It's actually inspired by her grandfather's death. It's about living on the edge during the last moment of that thing we call life :) So, yes, it's about deth, but still, a fantastic song altogether!!!! Judas is a really good, catchy song as well... "I'm just a holy fool, oh baby he's so cruel, but I'm still in love with Judas baby..." hahaha it's so catchy! Love it, and The Edge of Glory is also an amazing song, as mentioned Born This Way is good oo, but lol I'm kind of sick of it because I've heard it SO MANY TIMES! Lol...

Blogging schedule?

Yes, I was planning on blogging every day this past week. And no, I did not get to lol. So I'm thinking maybe I should post like a gazillion times on weekends and try to post every day during the week...if I get to it, that is. I've been really busy with dance and school...my dance recital is next weekend. yes, I dance, yes, I do ballet hahaha :) So anyway, I think that's what I'll end up doing. You guys okay with that? Lol. I actully just tried to film a video yesterday but there's something wrong with the camera the file won't move to my computer for some reason. Blahhhh.

Saturday, May 7, 2011

This day at my school. It's called last yesterday, May 6, 2011.

Ok, so I'd put in the name of the day, but then I'm sure you could just Google it and learn what school I go too. So I won't name the day, but I'll tell you it's really fun. Basically, it's just this day where, once a school year, rather than regular classes, we get to pick fun classes. It's amazing. I'll get into more detail later about the classes I took and picked and liked. But anyway, it's so. much. fun. Now I'm not sure what I wanna be when I'm older too. I could be a massage therapist, scientist, FBI agent, yoga instructor, artist...there are so many possibilities that this day introduced to me. And yes, we do get to pick our own classes. The classes I ended up getting were not what I had hoped for, but anyway, they were a lot of fun! I enjoyed every one of them! So, the classes I took are as follows:
1. Biotech was about test tubes, bottles, and germs. It was alot of fun, we could see real blood under a microscope and learn about strange diseases, see real E.coli and strep throat, use the pee machine. I enjoyed it, even if it is a lil' bit nerdy hahaha. I liked it though, we a lso could try on lab coats and pretty purple gloves. I took this class second period, because we did not have any classes 1st period yesterday.
2. Crime Doesn't Pay was the second class I picked, and I'm so excited I got to go to this one! A real FBI agent, as well as a CSI agent came in! It was so cool. Maybe I should become an FBI agent? They showed us some of the tools they used, and told us some stories. They were actually really funny, and I'm surprised I enjoyed it so much!!!
3. Massage Therapy was next. I loved it, actually, we learned massage techniques and then my friend and I gave each other hand massages with this really yummy-scented lotion. It was amazing and my hands felt so soft and smooth afterward. I. Love. It.
4. Illustration Know-How was another class I took. This amazing artist came in, gave everyone a poem by Shel Silverstein, and then we all had to draw a picture inspired by the poem. I didn't finish mine though...oh well haha. It was fun, my poem was about people on Mars.
5. Yoga 101 was the last and final class, it was good. Honestly, I think my English teacher is a much better yoga instructor though (no offense!) but maybe it was because right next door there was this really loud dodgeball game going on and it wasn't as relaxing for me? Hahaha idk.

The Story of Cosmetics

Here is that video I talked about 2 posts ago. I like it; it's very informative.Ok, here it is. Enjoy! And beware.

blah blah blah.

I am just sitting at my computer right now being bored and not doing much of anything, except blogging, obviously. Not that I have a lot of topics to blog about. Well, I could do a review on thi lipgloss, but I only got t a few hours ago and have used it just once lol, so it would be kindof hard to do a review on it. I guess I could work on my P!nk project, that's due soon. blah blah blah. I wonder if there's a way to put videos in a blog post? Hmmm...that would be amazing. Oooooh, you can! I wonder how this will turn out...

Toxic chemicals are in cosmetics everywhere!

Girls; The last time you swiped on that shiny new peach lipgloss, did you ever think about what really was IN it? Unfortunately, probably not. There are several toxins and poisnous chemicals in cosmetics everywhere! Parabens, toluene, even fragrance, plus a ton more, are all toxic to the body and can lead to health problems later on in life. Take, for example, a lotion. No, I suppose you wouldn't call lotion a cosmetic, but still, let's just use it as an example. Many lotions and other moisturizing products have something called a paraben in it, which mimics estrogen. This is just one example, although there are a ton more. One of the worst is toluene. Luckily, most products have stayed away from those REALLY bad chemicals, such as toluene, but most companies still have several bad chemicals in them. I'd say, at least 90% of products I own have fragrance in them. So, here's an example of how harmful this is. On a scale of 0-10, 0 is the best for you and totally safe, but 10 is the worst and obviously most likely to bring about health problems. So, take, for example, a scented SECRET deodorant. On this scale, this product is a 4, but Secret unscented deodorant? It's a 2. Just taking out fragrance cuts the number in half. Just because something says "organic, natural, etc" does not mean its safe for you to use. Fortunately, there are several companies, such as Yes to Carrots, Burt's Bees, California Baby, etc. that signed this contract saying all of their products are safe. Back to that scale thing we used, pretty much all California Baby products are a 0. It's hard to understand why all of these chemicals and toxins are in normal everyday beauty products, especially when several of them, such as shampoo, is so commaonly used! Essie nail polish? It's an 8 on the scale. That's bad. Fortunately, there are several websites out there that tell you different ways to stay safe, and I will tell you about some of them!
1. http://www.safecosmetics.org/ is the first one. This is the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, which features several harmful ingredients, as well as a full list of companies who signed the contract. This also features the video "The Story of Cosmetics" which is an excellent video that I suggest you go watch.
2. http://www.ewg.org/ is another good one. "EWG": stands simply for "Environmental Working Group" This website has a ton of articles about teens and beauty, as well as what's in different beauty products, and some ingredients to look out for. Not only does this website tell about cosmetics, but also about foods, radiation from cell phones, etc.
3. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ is another good website. This will redirect you to a site by EWG. This is excellent, you type in the name of a product and it tells you how bad it is for you, why, and you get to see what ingredients are in it and why they're bad. This doesn't have every single product out there, but there are several.
4. http://www.burtsbees.com/c/commitment/ I LOVE Burt's Bees lipgloss, this one I have right now is amazing. This is just a commitment promising that everything is natural. Also, if you have a Burt's Bees product and take a closer look at the container, you will see that they are Natural Products Association certified. Burt's Bees = awesome.
Bottom line: No, you don't have to stop using cosmetics and beauty products and makeup. However, I am just saying this as a warning to you, and I am trying to say that you should be careful about what ingredients are in ywhat you put on your body.

I've been so busy.

Ok, I have been really busy over this past week, which is why I haven't blogged alot. I've had a ton of big projects, still working on the Curie project for French, as well as a fun biography project for English. Yes, I said fun. The project is on a poet or singer/songwriter. My English teacher is amazing and she let us pick who we wanted to do. I had wanted to do Katy Perry, but someone took that before me, because we picked using this lottery system thing. Anyway, I have a project on P!NK and am sooo excited! I loooove P!nk, she has a very inspiring story and her music is amazing. So excited for this project. I'm gonna play Perfect while I present on Thursday, too! Yeayyyy! Hahaha my English teacher is the best! And then, also, I've been really busy with dance Usually I have just one class each week, but these past few weeks I've had two, because we're getting ready for the recital. And my feet like, kill me, thanks to the blisters caused by my pointe shoes lol. Anyway, I'm gonna go write some more fun posts. And tomorrow I have a great, but somewhat disturbing, true, story to tell you all!

The Royal Wedding

Ok, when it comes to thinking about different topics to blog about, I completely forgot about The Royal Wedding lol. I don't know how that's possible. No, I did not watch the entire thing. Yes, my mother tried to wake me up at 5AM to watch the wedding, but being the procrastinator that I am, and being as tired as I was, I was too lazy to get up so I just went back to sleep for another hour and a half. Then I got up, it was a school morning, so I just got ready then was able to watch a few minutes of the wedding before going to school Friday morning. First of all, I have to say, even though Kate's dress was quite modest, she did look really good in it! I loved her hair and makeup also, her skin was like, really radiant hahaha. It looked amazing on camera. And her hair was in perfect curls, with the Cartier tiara she was wearing, she looked like, stunning lol/ And then, William, I loved the bright red on him...soooo his color hahaha. He and Kate looked amazing together. And Pippa... I was surprised she wore a white dress! It was very pretty though, I liked it! And the afterparty gown was really pretty too, in my opinion, I liked it more than Kate's afterparty dress, no offense. If you haven't seen it, it's this long flowy blue-green gown with a deep-V neck... sooo pretty lol. Kate's was pretty too though. And did anyone else see the picture of William and Kate's kiss, with the frownibng crying girl in the back? hahaha I thought that was hilarious :) heetee. Unfortunately, I did not see the kiss live, but I did get a chance to see it later Friday afternoon. Overall, I liked this royal wedding, it was good. William and Kate look cute together :) And now I shall attach 2 pictures...
Okay, this first one is of Kate's sister Pippa Middleton, aka the Maid of Honor, in her afterparty dress! Isn't it super pretty???

And of course I had to put a picture of William and Kate's kiss!
