Spoby Rant.

Hi everyone. Today I'm just going to be basically, going on a rant about Spoby, which is by far my favorite Pretty Little Liars couple. Last night in the summer finale, A forced Spencer to break up with Toby. I hate A so so so much. I love Spoby. Like seriously if they don't get back together...oh well then there's gonna be a problem. Spoby was so perfect for each other and I really don't know what I'm going to do if they break up! I absolutely love both of them together, they're really cute, and I know his rant is going to be repetitive. If you don't wanna rear a rant then fine, feel free to x out. But Spoby has to get back together. What if they don't?! I'll just die. It's obvious that Spencer and Toby love each other. Toby is willing to do almost anything for Spencer, and you can just tell he loves her from both his reaction to when Spencer bought him the truck, and also his reaction to the breakup. Toby wD so hurt by it. I was like crying. I love these two together. If I haven't already said that enough. Sigh. But Spencer does love Toby too. After breaking up with him, she was crying, she went out and bought him that truck...I really really hope the two of them get back together. Wren and Spencer are good together, and Wren is super cute and has a sexy British accent. But nothing can bear Spoby, including Wrencer. They were too perfect for each other and I don't think that it was fair for A to break them up. A is a venomous super-b*tch. But Toby and Spencer have amazing chemistry and although other PLL couples may come pretty close, nothing can beat my love of Spoby. They're so perfect and sweet and totally right. It's obvious that Toby really wants Spencer back, and I definitely think Spencer still loves Toby. Like seriously A, f*ck off.

Itsy bitsy teeny weeny haul.

Hi everyone! Today I went to Target, and only bought two things... I actually really wanted the Conair Spiral Styler, but I'm trying to save my money for a Tiffany bracelet, so I didn't get it. But I wanted something a little less expensive, because I feel like it's been forever since I went shopping and spent money. For me, shpping and spending money relieves stress. Not that I'm stressed or anything....even though the first day of school is exactly one week from today...I'm really excited though. I love school. But anyway, I went to Target and also JoAnns, where I just got some origami paper - not that exciting whatsoever. Anyway, for my birthday back in July, my mom had promised me I could go to my favorite nail saolon and get a manicure there. But unfortunately we can't do that, so I told her I'd just wait and go for Christmas. But I still wanted a little something special for my first day of school for my nails, so what did I do? I bought some nail polish. Usually I don't buy nail polish, ever. And if I do it's usually just the cheap $0.99 kind like NYC I get at Walmart. But I felt like I needed a little retail therapy, so I bought some nail polish. It took me a long long time to decided what color I wanted, I was between Nicole by OPI's The Next CEO, a metallic golden color from the Liquid Metal collection, and then there was Miss Independent, another one from the same Nicole by OPI collection. It's a really pretty pinky-purple-silver-y metallic, and it's super pretty and a very unique color. I had actually wanted to originally look for a metallic gold, but once I saw Miss Independent, I wasn't sure really what I wanted. There were a ton of beautiful polish colors, but those two really stood out. After like fifteen minutes, literally, I finally opted for Miss Independent, because it would match this really pretty bracelet that I have. I'll definitely do a swatch of that sometime, because I feel like it's one of those beauty products I totally have to swatch on my blog. I have not tried it yet, but I've been researching it and looking at pictures online and it is so so pretty, I am very happy I chose this one, which pleasantly surprised me, becuase usually when I'm faced with a choice, I end up regretting it. But anyway, the other thing I got, unfortunately it is not on the Target website, but it's just a belt. See, EVERYONE in my school wears belts with everything. Me? Nada. So I HAD to get a belt. I just needed ONE FREAKING BELT. So that's what I got. My mom paid for it actually, it's just a brown braided leather belt, and I think it was on sale for like 4 and change. It's really basic and simple but I guess I really really wanted a belt. It's cute. So, anyway, that's pretty much my haul. It's quite boring, I know. Oh well. Hehehe thanks for reading this post. xoxoxo

Nail of the Day - 8/29/11

Hi everyone! Last night I pained my nails, and I decided to paint them OPI Rising Star, which is a beautiful orangey-gold color with a pretty shimmer, which I think is perfect now that fall is approaching. I actually will probably show this in my Fall Nail Polish Picks video, which I'm planning on filming hopefulky either today or tomorrow. But anyway, this nail polish is a super pretty color, and in certain lighting, makes my nails look really pretty and definitely really metallic. I've found that this nail polish looks bst on short, square nails, at least in my opinion. This nail polish, like all OPI polishes, is an amazing quality and does not chip easily. It's so so pretty and reminds me of autumn, considering it's orange. The pictures do look a little more orange than in real life, but I've found overall that in certain lighting this nail polish can look either more orange or more gold, depending on the lighting. It's a little bit sheer but not too sheer. I probably could've gotten away with one coat, but I did two anyway just because I like opaque nail polish rather than sheer and transparent. Anyway, I only have the little mini one, but I probably will be purchasing the full sized one when I run out.
LMAO at the Cheerios in the background!

So thank you guys for reading this post, let me know if you like these swatches and nail polish swatches or if you'd prefer me to just blog about random things! Okay, thank you again for reading this post! xoxoxo

MAC Naked Lunch Review and Swatches!

Hi everyone! If you've been keeping up with my videos and my blog, you probably know that recently, for my birthday, I got my first and so far only MAC Eyeshadow! The one that I got is MAC's Naked Lunch, a gorgeous neutral with a frost finish. This eyeshadow is $15.00, and even though it has a much higher price than any other drugstore eyeshadow in this color, it is so worth it. My MAC eyeshadow is by far the best quality eyeshadow I've ever used - and I've tried a ton - Clinique, Ulta, Maybelline, the list goes on and on. This eyeshadow is sooo sooo pigmented and has the perfect amount of shimmer. The color is like I said, absolutely beautiful. MAC describes Naked Lunch as a minimal pink with shimmer. Personally, I would describe this as a soft beige with a pink undertone, and the perfect amount of shimmer. This is a beautiful shade on me, personally, this eyeshadow is pretty much the exact color of my skin, maybe a little lighter. I love that because when I put it on it doesn't look like I'm wearing a ton of eyeshadow. It looks totally natural and really pretty. It lasts all day long, which I like, and compared to other eyeshadows I've tried, creases very little, and it blends beautifully. The pictures, they do make this look a tad bit lighter than it naturaly is, that is just because of my camera though! But it is still a very beautiful color and I hope you enjoy my first eyeshadow swatches, I hope to do more reviews/swatching in the future! Okay, swatch time!
This is the eyshadow in the box, what it looks like when you first buy it.
Paraben free(:
This is what it looks like in pot form
Naked Lunch, with a frost finish! Love it.
This is a beautiful neutral!
It's kinda hard to see, ik, but that's because this color is very similar to the color of my skin. I actually really like that becuase it comes off as super natural looking! As you can see, it has a really nice shimmer.
Sorry for the bad picture quality...but this eyeshadow still looks gorgeous, and as you can see, it has an amazing finish.

Okay, thank you so much for reading my first review/swatch post. I hope yo enjoyed, leave a comment if you want me to swatch anything else! Let me know and I'll see if I have it! xoxo

Movie Review: The Smurfs

Hi everyone! I saw the Smurfs earlier today (I'm currently at my grandparents and unable to blog, but this will go up when I get home, but I'm writing this August 25) but anyway, I saw The Smurfs, it was a really good movie! It was better than I expected, the Smurfs were all so cute hahaha. I'll attach a trailer at the end of the post! But basically, plot synopsis: There's a ton of Smurfs that live in their own little Smurf village, and this evil guy, who I keep forgetting the name of, and his cat... but basically I guess the Smurfs can provide power for him to become like the most powerful wizard? Well anyway, the Smurfs are preparing for the Blue Moon Festival, when the bad guy comes and tries to capture them. So Clumsy, being his clumsy self, runs into an area that says not to enter, and that it's especially dangerous during the blue moon, and of course, it would be the time of a blue moon. So Clumsy, along with a few other Smurfs, including Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Grouchy, etc. follow him, and because of the blue moon they are sucked into a water vortex type thingy and brought into the human world, in New York City, meanwhile all the other Smurfs are back at Smurf village, with the bad guy and his cat following Clumsy and those other few Smurfs. Those few end up with a young and expecting couple, Patrick and Grace, for a few days, well, actually, I think it's just one night, until the next blue moon, which will provide them with a chance to get back to their village. So, they follow Patrick to his job and almost get him fired, they befriend Grace, who, soon after meeting the few Smurfs, (they end up in their house after jumping onto a taxi, to rescue clumsy, who was put in a box to escape the bad guy, and the box is in the taxi...) Grace and Patrick are terrified of the Smurfs, but Grace eventually convinces Patrick the Smurfs are friendly, and the Smurfs even befriend Patrick and Grace's dog. So to get home, the Smurfs will need a blue moon, which Papa Smurf says depends on the alignment of the stars, therefore he will need a stargazer to determine when the next blue moon will occur. They eventually, when in a taxi outside of FAO Schwartz, see one, and manage to get inside. Clumsy tries to get up an escalator, and children there see him thinking he's some kind of cool toy, and now everyone wants a Smurf. They are able to get the stargazer, which is a telescope, but are almost caught by the bad guy in the attempt. Luckily, Grace calls Patrick at work, and they are able to help the Smurfs and free them from the bad guy. That night, Papa Smurf is outside studying the stars and he talks to Patrick about fatherhood. Patrick was just given a promotion at work and is in charge of the advertisement. Clumsy accidentally sends the wrong advertisement. Then the Smurfs help out around the house and turn Patrick's office into a room for the new baby. Then Papa Smurf races in and says there will be a blue moon that night. They go to an antique book shop in search of a book of spells and they come across one of their own comic books. Meanwhile, the bad guy has Papa Smurf trapped. Smurfette does eventually save him. Brainy manages to "Smurf" the blue moon and he goes back to the Smurf village and brings back all of the other Smurfs in order to fight the bad guy. They eventually win the fight, because of Clumsy, who Grace now refers to as Hero. They are able to return to their village and Grace and Patrick have their baby boy, who they name Blue.

So yes, I know I left some things out. But basically this is what happens. I absolutely love this movie and the story and everything about this movie in general! It's a very good movie with a happy ending, and I love happy endings! This movie is probably my favorite, along with Mr. Popper's Penguins, both two of my favorite movies. I love everything about this movie, very detailed story and the Smurfs are so cute! I love the whole plot and the idea and this movie was just brilliant. This has me wanting a sequel!

Okay, so thank you so much for reading my Smurfs movie review, if you have not seen the movie yet, here is one of the trailers:

My Hair Routine (Updated Blog Version!)

I realize I already did a post like this a long time ago, but I wanted to do another post on my hair and the products I use, etc. I also understand I recently did a video on this, but I wanted to do this in detailed blog form, just like I did my skincare and everyday makeup routine. I figured maybe it would be easier for you to follow this way rather than watching a video, and my other post isn't as detailed or updated, my hair routine has definitely changed since then. Basically I do a less detailed version of this on my YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/hersheykiss723) but if you wanna keep on reading and see what I think about the products I use, then go ahead. If not, feel free to x out of my blog (: But basically, my hair care routine is very specific, unlike my skincare routine, which isn't as specific, like if my skin is a little oilier that day I'll skip the lotion, or if I'm in a hurry I skip the astringent, or with my makeup, sometimes I won't curl my lashes. But my hair routine is very specific with specific products and I wanted to talk about that. I will probably do a video talking about my hair sometime in the furure. But basically, I have super dark brown hair. Yes, it looks black, but if I stand out in the sun, it looks brown with like a hint of red. Yes, this is my natural color, I have never dyed it. My hair is like, six incheas past my shoulders and I have side bangs, and it's naturally wavy-ish, thick, and 9 times out of 10, frizzy to the extreme. My hair care routine is something that definitely helps me get straight, smotth, frizz-free hair, and I absolutely love my hair care routine! You can go check out my previous post if you would like! But anyway, here are the products I use, this is what works for me. Also, please note that I wash my hair every other day, which is much healthier than washing your hair every day, as it strips the natural healthy oils from your hair! I do not deep clean my hair or use dry shampoo and things like that, I don't think its necessary. This works and keeps my hair clean even on the days I don't wash it. Anyway, this is how I achieve silky smooth and straight, generally frizz-free hair!

1. The first step is always clean hair. I need something that will keep my hair clean for those two days, because of my not washing it every day. This is like embarrassing lol, but I actualy use a dandruff shampoo (haha I don't have dandruff lmao) but it works to keep my hair clean for that extra day! It also keeps my hair smelling great. I actually use Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff Clean & Fresh Shampoo, and it does what it says it will -cleans your hair and makes it feel fresh for two days. This stuff creates a nice lather and I really love the scent. I lmao'd when I realized the dandruff shampoo worked for me, but if you want a product that will help your hair stay clean and fresh for two days, this is the produt for you! I'm not positive on the price, it varies from store to store. I buy this at Walmart, where it's cheapest, but compared to regular shampoos, this is a little pricier. But you're using it less often, so technically, I would say it's definitely worth it. http://www.garnierusa.com/_en/_us/our_products/product-struct.aspx?tpcode=OUR_PRODUCTS^PRD_HAIRCARE^FRUCTIS^FRUCTIS_DISCOVER^FRUCTIS_ANTI_DANDRUFF^FRUCTIS_ANTI_DANDRUFF_RTN1&prdcode=P41301
2. The next step is obviously, conditioner. I love a conditioner that will give my hair a little moisture, plus strength against breakage and split ends and will overall leave my hir silkier and softer with a healthy looking shine. Also, this one smells really good, and works great and keeps my hair super soft and also helps me detangle my hair after a shower (all conditioners should do that anyway though) currently I'm using Pantene Classic Care Conditioner, which works pretty good, but the conditioner I usually use is Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Conditioner, which I absolutely love! This stuff smells so good! The price of this also varies from store to store, I find most of my beauty products and cosmetics, etc. for the best price at Walmart and sometimes Target. http://www.pantene.com/en-US/hair-care-products/product/moisture-conditioner.aspx?UPC=080878040346
3. As soon as I get out of the shower, I spray a detangler on my hair. The one I use gently detangles knots and lightly conditions as well, plus it provides a nice shine and it smells great. It also helps to leave my hair silky and soft and smooth and I absolutely love this stuff. It does help my frizz a little bit too, I've noticed that it does make ym hair a little more manageable when it comes to frizz. Also, this is especially for my medium to thick hair, I love that this product is made for my hair type. It's really a great product for a pretty good value. It says to comb through with fingers after, but I use a paddle brush hahaha. This is the Pantene Silkening Detangler, and again, the price varies! http://www.pantene.com/en-US/hair-care-products/product/thick-hair-detangler.aspx?UPC=080878044948
4. The next thing I do is gently brush out my hair with a paddle, brush, spraying a little more detangler in if I hit a knot (which rarely happens, because my detangler is amazing lol) but I'd have to say that in general, I like this paddle brush, I know you're supposed to use a comb on wet hair, but I use a paddle brush, and it works okay for me. I don't absolutely LOVE my brush, it's a brush. This one is okay, but if you wanted a really good quality one I probably would not reccomend it. I have only had this one since Christmas and it has lost a few bristles. Is that even what you call them, bristles? Haha whateer. This one is gentle on knots though, which I do like, and generally this brush is an okay brush. I preferred my Conair one to this one, a Goodty brush, but unfortunately I had to throw away that one because of fungus problems...disgusting, I know. It is. But like I said, this brush is okay and is definitely not a bad hairbrush. Like I said, for pretty much all of these products, the price does vary greatly depending on the store. The website is being messed up right now, so I can't really post pics of my brush or anything...whatever, I'll post pictures of the brush I want, haha. But it should work because I've tried this brand a few rimes before and love it. It's Conair! In a cute pattern! http://www.conair.com/impressions-paddle-brush-p-1060-1_124_137.html
5. I just wait for my hair to airdry. Then I use a heat protectant, the one you know I love would be the TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray. This is a heat protectant that's fairly inexpensive (I think it's like 44 and change) and it (besides protecting against heat) adds some shine and softness to your hair. this one also smells absolutely amazing and I love the scent so so much! All I do is spray all over and brush through my hair with a paddle brush. It does not make my hair greasy at all, which I love! It simply protects my hair adding some shine and silkiness, and this is an overall amazing product I highly reccomend. I actually did a review on my YT, go check it out :) This smells amazing as well, did I mention that already? Lmao. http://www.tresemme.com/Products/Heat/Thermal-Creations-Heat-Tamer-Spray/
6. The next step is obviously, straightening or flatironing my haqir. the flatiron I use is definitely not professional, but is definitely affordable. This one doesn't give you a totally stick straight look, if you are going for that, you may want to try a CHI or GHD, what is used on me when I go to the salon. But the one I use is definitely not nearly as good as those, but it does what I want it to and is only $30. It's a Zoe, and I got it from Ulta. This heats up to 410 degrees Farenheit and genrally keeps my hair pretty straight for about a day, then I have to go back and straighten my hair again if I want to keep the almost perfectly sttraight hair. Generally, I do like this straightener though. This one is one inch. This one in the picture is the exact pattern I have, and is still available at Ulta, at least online it is, for $29.99. http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2165856&productId=xlsImpprod880196&navAction=push&navCount=1&subdoc=104teentrendsetter&categoryId=cat1000001
7. The last step is a straightening creme, which I find does make my hair a lot less frizzy and helps hold in the "straightness" from my flatiron. Generally if after one day my hair isn't as strauight as I would like it to be, I just rub some in the palm of my hand and then finger comb through my hair for a silky smooth look and feel! This stuff, like all Pantene products, smells nice and works beutifully. It provides silkiness and makes my hair feels amazingly soft and satiny smooth. Again, the price does vary, but whatever it may be, it is well worth it because I absolutely love this product! http://www.pantene.com/en-US/hair-care-products/product/anti-frizz-creme.aspx?UPC=080878043194
Thanks so much for reading my hair routine, I know it isn't all tha interesting, congats if you made it through this post, especially if you read this entire post as well as my skincare and mkeup one, I think that one was my longest post up to date lol! Thanks again for reading :) Please follow me on Twitter, subscribe to my YouTube, follow me on Tumblr, and follow this blog! xoxo

Outfits of the Week?

I realize I haven't made a video in like, over ten days, and I've been trying to post at least two videos a week. However, because of Hurricane Irene, filming outside is pretty impossible, and the lighting inside isn't that good at all, except in the bathroom, and I don't think it'd be much fun to do that. But I'll try to do another video as soon as possible. Anyway, I was thinking about my YouTube, and I wanted to know if the first week back to school, which is not next week, but the following week I think the first day is like the sixth or seventh, I was thinking of doing Outfits of the Week, in a video? I love to watch Outfit of The Day videos and I think it would be fun to do a video showing you all the different outfits of the week, Monday through Friday that week. I'm still not quite sure what I'm going to wear on the first day of school! Probably my dress...but I still don't know for a fact what I'm going to wear, how I'll do my hair, etc. I hope to post pictures though after, I probably will. But really, I just wanted to know if you guys would like to see an Outfit of the Week video on my YouTube channel. Please leave comments here! Also, like I always say, leave me any other video requests as well, I'm thinking of doing a few hair tutorials, lip tutorials, What's In My Purse, maybe even a What's In My Pencil Case, maybe an updated nail polish collection and/or makeup collection video? Please feel free to request whatever you want! xo

Back to School: What to keep in your bag!

Hi everyone, this is the second post in my back to school series! I understand I already did a post like this a while ago, back in July: http://hersheykiss723.blogspot.com/2011/07/what-to-put-in-your-school-bag.html and yes I know there's a typo there I said video instead of post? Oh well, i'll fix it later if I remember. But anyway, this post is going to be a little bit more focused on what you might want to keep in an "emergency survival kit" type thing. You can add whatever you want and you do not have to use everything I'll be talking about, thy are just recommendations and suggestions! This post will not include extras like Colgate Wisps and so forth, if you wanna check out what I would put in as extras, check out my other posts! This is just the bare essentials, "I have to have this" type thing. But like I said, add whatever you want, and don't include everything if you don't feel like you'd need it. It only takes up space! If your school bag has a pocket, you can use that as your "survival kit" but I'd reccomend using a smaller bag, like a small cosmetic bag, in case you need something from that and don't want to have to take your whole bag. So, a small cosmetic bag would work perfectly for this, sometimes you can get them free with purchase at the makeup counters at Macy's. This kit is super easy and simple. Well, enough of my really long intro, let's get into what's actually in this kit.
♥ Tissues
♥ Bobby pins/hair elastics
♥ Small travel sized perfume or body splash
♥ Lipgloss and/or lip balm
♥ Stuff for that TIME...you know what I'm talking about.

See? Super simple! Have this in your bag at all times! You're probably thinking that perfume or body splash and both lipgloss and lipbalm is not an essential, but if your lips are chapped, or if you spill something smelly all over you at lunch, it is most definitely an essential. For some people, perfume or body splash in aerosol type things is not allowed, you could maybe try a roll-on perfume or even a lightly scented lotion. Make sure the scent isn't too strong though, or you may get in trouble with your teacher or principal, just because some people are allergic to some of those stronger scents or it bothers them.

Text In the Shower?!

Yes, I've done it before. No, I did not damage my phone AT ALL! In fact, it didn't even have one drop of water on it after! Will this work for your phone, I don't know. Before I officially begin this post and tell you how I've done this, I want to put a disclaimer on this.... ***Disclaimer*** I am NOT responsible for any broken or damaged phones! This works for my phone, and even if you follow these steps exactly the way I write them, it still may not be perfectly safe for your phone! This worked for me, but that does NOT mean it will work for you!... Okay, there we go. But yes, I've texted in the shower before, I'm sure this would work if I were to take a bath as well. Before I ell you how I did this, let me get some things straight...-If you do this in a bath, never ever put your phone directly under the faucet, or in the bathwater itself.
-If done in the shower, never put your phone directly in the water!
-We want to keep the phone as dry as possible!
Okay. So, now for the exciting part, let me tell you how I was able to successfully text in the shower. I would not reccomend this every time you shower or bathe, because over time, it probably could take away days from your phone's life...but anyway, here's how I did this and what worked for me. I have T-Mobile, a Samsung Gravity 3. I just recently got this phone back in March!
1. Take a small plastic bag and put your phone in. If your phone has a keyboard, slide open the phone, because otherwise it will be difficult to slide the phone open in the bag while in the shower. Try not to slide your phone closed again while you shower.
2. Make sure the bag is sealed closed as tightly as possible (this means a bag with a zipper would work best for this! Probably the only type of bag that would work.)
3. When in the shower, either keep your phone right outside the shower or bath on the floor, or keep it on a shelf in your shower as far away from the water as possible! I actually keep mine outsidde of the shower when I do this!
4. Text away! No, this doesn't mean spending like an hour in the shower texting and hacking up like a bazillion dollars on your parents' water bill, hahaha, butttt I love doing this and if you only take five minute showers, not like my twenty-thirty minute ones even w/o texting, then you don't even need to probably bother with this! Good luck!
*Oh, and take your phone out of the bag as soon as you're out!
**Please remember I am NOT responsible for damaged phones!
Thanks for reading! If you've tried this and it works or you know aother trick to texting in the shower, please leave me a comment below! Thanks! xo

MAC Wishlist (Top 5)

Hi, these are the top five things I want from MAC. I knew if I didn't limit it, this list would go on forever haha, so I made myself pick five things I want to try from MAC Cosmetics! I'm gonna do this by like, eyes, then lips, then face. All of these items are permanent! Okay, here we go...1. MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study
On the website, this paint pot is listed under the MAC shadows, but MAC paint pots are commonly used as eyeshadow primers, and they supposedly work amazingly for that. I definitely would like to try one of these eyeshadow bases and I think it will help my shadow to not crease, and to last longer. I definitely would want to try this in either Bare Study or Painterly - both are nudes that would blend well with my skintone, hopefully, but Bare Study has a little bit of shimmer. And I love all the shimmer I can get. Bare Study is a frost finish. MAC Paint Pots are $17.50. http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/154/1573/Paint-Pot/index.tmpl
 2. MAC Eyeshadow in  Woodwinked
As you know, if you read my Everyday Makeup post at least, I like to wear a darker brown color on my lid. I have one MAC eyeshadow, and it is byfar the best quality eyeshadow I've ever used. I found MAC Woodwinked, it would be the perfect shade for my lid. I've heard great reviews on this color, described as a warm antiqued gold with a Veluxe Pearl Finish. MAC Eyeshadow in pot form has gone up to $15.00 from $14.50, but I still think it is well worth it. http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/154/363/Eye-Shadow/index.tmpl
3. MAC Lipstick in Hue
This color is a gorgeous pale pink. I've looked at swatches on different blogs and this comes out much different on your lips than in the tube, this is a really pretty pink nude, described on the MAC website as a soft pale pink with a Glaze finish. I think this color would look amazing with my everyday makeup! Again, I've heard great reviews on this color. I probably will wait until I've gotten six other items then just Back to MAC and get this! In the picture it looks darker than it does on your lips though. I would pair this with either Burt's Bee's Lipgloss in Sweet Pink, or the NARS Lipgloss in Turkish delight, on my NARS wishlist! To see the swatches I looked at: http://www.temptalia.com/the-spring-season-mac-hue-lipstick and this lipstick is $14.50. http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/168/310/Lipstick/index.tmpl
4. MAC Studio Tech Foundation in NC27
I actually used MAC's online Foundation Finder and this was one of the results. This foundation supposedly provides a flawless, natural, matte finish. I have tried foundation before, I didn't really like it, I think it just was because it was too dark for my skintone. I'm hoping this works a little bit better, the color looks like it would blend well, but if I were to get foundation, I would probably go to a MAC counter and have them match my my skin tone perfectly. This is $29.50. http://www.maccosmetics.com/products/spp/shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT158&PRODUCT_ID=PROD373&SKU_ID=SKU1414
5. MAC Powder Blush in Mocha
I've heard amazing reviews on MAC blushes - there's amazing reviews on all MAC products though haha. But this blush looks like it would look nice with my skintone, it is described as a soft plum pink with a matte finish. This looks like it would give a nice "I ran around the playground" type of look rather than a "I just put blush on" type of look which is what I want in a blush, plus a subtle color that will look natural, yet will still add some color. This blush, like all MAC blushes, is $19.50 http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/156/329/Powder-Blush/index.tmpl

The Lying Game - My thoughts on the new show!

Today is Monday night, which means a new episode of the new ABC family show The Lying Game, based on the books by Sara Shepard, who also wrote Pretty Little Liars! (Go check out my review of the Lying Game book here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgjUOdkGnwQ&feature=channel_video_title) but last Monday night, I watched the premeire of this new show, it was on ABC Family at 9EST. This show, if you missed it, is also available here: http://abcfamily.go.com/shows/lying-game/total-access-player - yay for ABC Family posting the latest episodes! Lol. But anyway, I did read the book, and I actually thought Pretty Little Liars was a bit better than the Lying Game book series. And no, I haven't read the second LG book, Never Have I Ever, but I want to soon! But, I definitely think that the Tv show was better than the book by far. I like to see things, just like I like the PLL Tv show a tad better than the books (still love the books though!:) but The Lying Game TV show, at first, I thought, oh, well, just another typical ABC Family show, nothing special about it. Then as I kept watching, the show got better and better and I really started to like it! It's interesting, I think it has a good mystery to it and some good suspense. I cannot wait for tonight's episode. As with Pretty Little Liars, the TV show is different than the book, I'm not gonna give it away if you didn't see it, so go watch and read for yourself :) I really would like to see what happens next in this, you can actually go to http://www.prettylittleliars.com and there will be a recap of this Pilot. I think this show is getting off to a great start, I hope to see more great episodes in the future, I really like it, but it does get confusing because it's been a while since I read the book, I'm confused about who's who and the boyfriends and Sutton's friends and Nisha and her boyfriend... but the show is still very interesting and I love it. I wish this show was on only a little earlier, but other than that, it's a great show, like I've probably stated in this post quite a few times before, hahaha. I really do like this show though, it's pretty good, and hopefully within a few episodes the Pilot will be free on iTunes! If anyone else watches this show, please post a comment and tell me what you thought of it. Thanks for reading, and watch the Lying Game again tonight at 9! Also, if you missed last week's episode, it may be on tonight at 8...anyway, thank you for reading thisss, I know it was probably repetitive hahaha. xoxo

Everyday Skin and Makeup!

Hiiii! Today I'm going to be blogging about what products I use on my skin and what makeup products I use, how I use them, etc. I have somewhat pretty oily skin and this routine really helps with that, I posted a skincare routine on my YouTube channel not that long ago, but I thought it would be fun to do it in blog form, it has changed a little bit, but not much, since then. Anyway, I have what I would describe as three routines - my morning skin routine, my everyday makeup, then my night routine. All products use will be listed below unless I don't know what they are or they are no longer available. Yes, I do the same makeup look ebveryday, but I love it and find that it really flatters my eyes. I apologize that many of these products are not drugstore, several of them are high-end, but I don't tend to use drugstore makeup products as they don't work as well for me, and with high-end products, I just find they're better overall quality? Anyway, I'll be doing a hair version next! Oh, and I don't do anything to my face at all in the shower, I find it annoying and like to do it when I get out.
Morning Skincare Routine!
1. The first thing I like to use is a cleansing face scrub. For mornings, I like the Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub. This one is gentle and cleansing, and leaves your face feeling clean and refreshed, and it really does seem to wake me up. This stuff also has a really good lingering scent, which I love! I actually am using just one of those little travel sized bottles, I need to get a full one soon though. The price on this varies from store to store, the little one can be found in the travel sections of most drugstores, I've seen it a lot of places for $0.99, the full sized one on the official website is $6.49. I start by wetting my face with warm water using a washcloth, then putting a quarter-sized drop of this in the palm of my hand, and massaging this all over my face. Then I wait like one minute and wash it off with warm water, then rinse my face with cold water to close my pores. This Morning Burst scrub is also available in Detoxifying, Skin Brightening, Skin Brightening, Shine Control, and In-Shower. http://www.cleanandclear.com/product/scrubs/morning-burst-facial-scrub
2. The next thing I like to use is an astringent. This one is also by Clean & Clear. Personally I love this brand, it works surprisingly well considering it is drugstore. This gives your face a deeper clean and helps control shine throughout the day for me. It also has a mild pimple fighting medicine. I use this on my T-Zone with a cotton ball, this smells really nice. I use the Sensitive Skin one, because I find that, even using this Sensitive Skin one, if I put it anywhere other than the t-zone, it dries out my face and makes it sort of red. Other than that, I really like it. I'm not sure how much I paid for it, but it is listed for $4.49 on the website. This stuff really does work and leaves your skin feeling so refreshed and clean. http://www.cleanandclear.com/product/astringents/deep-cleaning-astringent-sensitive-skin
3. I use this stuff only when I have a pimple, and it works super well. It's actually yet another Clean & Clear product, hahaha! Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10 - This stuff doesn't have the most pleasant scent, but it does its job quickly without leaving any marks. And for this, a little goes a long way, and so one tube will last you quite a while. I just put a little dot on my finger, even that's too much sometimes, dab it on the pimple, I do this every time I wash my face, and within a few days, it's gone. Like I said, the scent isn't great, but it definitely works well. However, this is a strong pimple medication, so if you don't want a strong medication, I would not reccommend this. I use it anytime I have a pimple, every time, like I said, and it works great, but don't use it if you don't want a strong medication. This online costs $6.49. but like I said, it lasts for a long time. http://www.cleanandclear.com/product/treatments/persa-gel-10-acne-medication
4. I always like to moisturize, but only on my cheeks because they tend to get dry. This product also goes a long way with just a little bit. This one moisturizes well and I really like this. I don't really like the scent, but it does it's job, like the persa-gel stuff. I have a tube, it has lasted so so long. This stuff isn't exactly drugstore and it's ppricey, but if you're looking for a great facial moisturizer this is well-worth the money in my opinion. The one I use is a lotion, but is also available in a gel form if you would prefer that instead. Gel form, according to the website, is better for oilier skin that still needs a little moisture. You can get this in both tube form and also with a pump, but the pump is nearly double the price at $24.50 as compared to $13 for the tube.  However, if you plan on using this for a long long time, you may want to splurge and buy the one with the pump, because it contains 4.2 oz. as opposed to the tube with just 1.7 oz. This link is to the one with the tube, the one I use. http://www.clinique.com/product/CATEGORY14112/PROD3303/3_step/Step_3_Moisturize/index.tmpl

Everyday Makeup!
***I realize I already did a blog post recently blogging about my everyday makeup, but I thought I'd do a better more detailed version of that with pictures and links and prices and so-forth***
1. The first thing I do is take a eye brush, I like to use an angled brush for this step, and the one I use is by ELF, the Defining Eye Brush, and is available at Target for just one dollar. Considering it's only a dollar, it's surprisingly pretty good quality for the price. The bristles do not fall out and this one washes easily. http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elf/tools/single-brushes/defining_eye_brush
2. I use a higher-end eyeshadow, the only ones I find work for me. I like to use MAC's Naked Lunch, which is described as a minimal pink with shimmer, and is a frost. I personally would describe this eyeshadow as a light shimmery beige with a pink undertone. This shade is gorgeous, MAC eyeshadows are really pigmented and long-lasting. No, I don't use an eye primer, I probably should haha. But using the brush, I just put some of this all the way from my top lashline all the way up to my browbone. Then using the brush, I blend this color into my skin. This has an amazing finish and is very flattering. Keep in mind the picture from the website looks nothing like this shadow does in real life! But I'll use that picture anyway. http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/154/363/Eye-Shadow/index.tmpl
3. For the next step I like to use a different brush, the ELF Eyeshadow Brush, I feel like the MAC 219 would be a good higher end brush similar to this one. This ELF brush is also only one dollar, again, very good quality considering the low price, bristles do not fall out and I can wash out eyeshadow easily. This one is also available at Target. I really like this one, it proves that brushes don't always have to be expensive for them to be able to work. If you don't have this one, any eye shader brush should work well too! http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elf/tools/single-brushes/eye_shadow_brush
4. With this brush, I just use a little bit of the darker brown color from the Clinique Strawberry Fudge Eyeshadow Duo. Again, this is a higher end product, but Clinique eyeshadows are very pigmented and a good quality. This color is beautiful deep brown that I love! I use the eyeshadow brush to pat this just on my lid. Then I'll go back and with the defining eye brush I had used to apply Naked Lunch, I just blend this with the Naked Lunch. This helps create a neutral smokey eye! I love this eyeshadow! The duo is $18, but I feel like you could replace this color with any other brown, maybe MAC Woodwinked? I don't have that one but it looks like it would work in place of this. http://www.clinique.com/product/CATEGORY4898/PROD6984/Makeup/Eye_Shadows/index.tmpl
5. Eyeliner is next, I don't use any crease shadows or inner corner shadows, bur you could if you wanted to. I personally do not, just because I find what I use is already dramatic enough for my eyes. I like to use a brown kohl pencil, which is a great eyeliner option for beginners - it glides on smoothly. This does not last all day, but I still really like this eyeliner. Again, this is high-end. I've never tried a drugstore eyeliner, so I can't compare high-end vs. drugstore, but I really like this eyeliner. This one has a built-in sharpener which I love, and is called the Clinique Kohl-Shaper for eyes in Black Coffee. You do not necessarily have to have this exact eyeliner, if you want to recreate this look any brown eyeliner will work. You could skip this altogether, but I really like it. I only use this on the outer half of each waterline. This is $15.50.
http://www.clinique.com/product/CATEGORY4897/PROD8439/Makeup/Eye_Liners/index.tmpl
6. The next step for me is an eyelash curler, which I absolutely love mine! I'm not sure which brand it is, I got it for Christmas a few years ago, but I do remember it was a basic drugstore one and it works pretty well. The mascara I use really holds the curl in place also. You can skip this step altogether if you wish to recreate this look, but I reccomend it! Like I said, any eyelash curler will do. I like to hold this in place for ten seconds. The picture is MAC's full lash curler, but I only picked this picture because the MAC website was already open so I just figured I'd use this picture. I do not use this after mascara because I've heard if you do you can risk ripping out your lashes. This one is $16, but drugstore ones are much less expensive. http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/135/370/Full-Lash-Curler/index.tmpl
7. The next step, of course, is mascara. I absolutely love Maybelline Falsies Flared, it does not clump that much. This one I have heard negative reviews on, but I have also heard really positive ones. This works just fine for me. I got this for $5.94 at Target, it is in the color Blackest Black. This really holds the curl from my eyelash curler in place! Really does increase the volume of your lashes, I personally love it! The price may vary depending what store it is. This mascara has a curved brush, which I like. http://www.maybelline.com/products/145/eyes/mascara/volum-express-falsies-flared-washable/very-black/000?shadeId=807
8. The brush I like to use to apply my blush and bronzer is a free travel sized brush I got from Lancome. I'm not sure the exact brush, but I would think it would just be the Lancome Cheek Brush #6, possibly? I absolutely love love love this brush, the bristles are very soft and do not fall out, the brush picks of color easily and blends my blush and bronzer beautifully. I can definitely tell this brush is a little bit higher-end, it seems like it would be! Lancome brushes, however, are very expensive, this one is $41.50, so, very expensive. I got mine from a family friend that did not need it! I love this brush so so much though, but still it is probably not worth $411.50, I would suggest maybe trying an ELF brush, which is, again, one dollar! If you are interested in the brush, however, http://www.lancome-usa.com/Cheek---Brush-%236/990371,default,pd.html?start=5&cgid=makeup-brushes

9. The blush I use is actually in a blush and bronzer duo that was a free gift with a Clinique purchase! It is available to buy like, individually though, it's Clinique's Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Pink Blush, a soft pink blush (obviously, hahaha) that I really like. This one really compliments my skintone and goes well with my eyes without being too dramatic. It does last for quite a while, and is really a good quality blush. This blush is a little expensive at $20.00, but the blush has lasted me a long long time, I've been wearing this everyday for quite a while now, and it's only a free gift thing so not even the amount in the full-sized one, and I still have quite a lot left, I'm not even close to hitting pan. This has a nice finish that I think would be great for fair and medium skin tones, if you have darker skin I would reccomend a darker blush, maybe MAC's Pink Swoon? I haven't tried that personally, but I know a lot of people love MAC's blushes, and the color looks pretty. http://www.clinique.com/product/CATEGORY4894/PROD537/Makeup/Blushers/index.tmpl
10. I also like to use bronzer all over for a sunkissed glow, and I absolutely am in love with this one! This has the perfect amount of shimmer, not too much or too little, and gives me the perfect sunkissed glow! It is a really pretty color and I think it would compliment all skintones beautifully. It is a very good quality and I use this all over my face, my cheekbones, forehead, nose, and jawline. This bronzer has a hint of pink to it, and I love that it does not make me look orange, or even worse, look fake. This gives me a totally natural looking "I've been at the beach all day" type of glow. This is $25.50 and is the Clinique True Pressed Powder Bronzer in Sunkissed - the name of the color describes this bronzer perfectly. The color in the picture does look a little orange, but in reality, this bronzer gives the perfect bronze look! http://www.clinique.com/product/CATEGORY8227/PROD7603/Makeup/Bronzers/index.tmpl
11. Lips. Lips are a whole different story. I don't really wear lipstick although I have been wanting to try lipstick again, I remember trying it a few times when I was younger but hating it because it was so sticky. I think that just may have een because it was Revlon and because the color was a dark pink-red, something I needed for my dance recital. I think if I could find a good quality lipstick in a nice color, I might like lipstick a little more - I was thinking I wanted to try either MAC Hue or MAC Pretty Please with Nars Turkish Delight over it? I think that would be a really pretty lip to wear with my everyday makeup look. But for now, I just like to use a lipgloss. With this look I like Burt's Bee's Sweet Pink Super Glossy Lip Shine, but if I want a darker more shimmery option I go with Bath & Body Works Strawberry Lemonade Liplicious. I usually go with Burt's Bee's though, it's all natural and sheer barely-there, not too sticky like the B&BW one. It also smells good, just like freshly squeezed orange juice. http://www.burtsbees.com/natural-products/lips-lip-color/super-glossy-lip-shine.html

Night Skin Routine!
1. The first thing I do is of course, take off my makeup. I previously used Lancome's Bi-facil and it worked great, but I currently use Clinique's Take The Day Off and just use this with a cottonball and gently remove my eye makeup. o remove my blush and bronzer, well, it just comes off when I wash my face. Take the Day Off is gentle enough for my sensitive skin, yet, it is oil based, so if you have oily skin around your eyes, you may want to try something else. But this is very gentle and effective, it removes my makeup without me having to scrub at it, even my mascara. You do have to shake this before using it, to mix the oil part with the water-ish part, but then I just put a little bit onto two cotton balls (one for each eye, hahaha) and it removes my makeup easily, gently, and quickly. This is $18.00, but I really like it, and I think it is well worth it! This stuff can also remove lip products (lipliner, lipstick, etc!)http://www.clinique.com/product/CATEGORY4899/PROD560/Skin_Care/Eye_Treatment/index.tmpl
2. The second step is to wash my face, again, I like to use a cleansing facial scrub, it helps exfoliate my skin and make it smoother and more radiant. I have a little travel sized biottle actually, but will definitely be purchasing this yummy-scented facial scrub full-sized very soon. This stuff is amazing and gentle, it smells like apricots also, which I really like the smell of for some reason. Another bonus: this is natural and paraben free! This does give a little deeper clean than my Clean & Clear Morning Burst, which I like for night time! It's gentle though and leaves me face completely shine free. Like in the morning, I wet my face with a washcloth using warm water, then put a little of this in my palm and gently massage this onto my face, I wait a minute, gently work it off with again, the facecloth with warm water, then I rinse with cold water to close my pores. Unfortunately, the price is not on the website, and I got this in a travel sized bottle for Christmas actually, and so I'm not sure of the price! This would be the St. Ive's Invigorating Apricot Scrub. http://www.stives.com/Facial-Products/Fresh-Skin/Invigorating-Apricot-Scrub/#tab3
3, 4, and 5, are just steps 2-4 from my morning skin routine!

I know this post was quite long, and I haven't blogged that much lately - that's because this post has taken me three days to write! I hope to be doing one of these for my hair, and maybe like a hygeine routine or something? And a makeup/cosmetics wishlist? Let me know what you wanna see me blog about! Thanks for reading! Lying Game tonight! xoxo

We Owned the Night by Lady Antebellum *new song!*

Lady Antebellum is my favorite band, and they released a new song August 12th! I love the song but haven't gotten it on iTunes yet, I'm going to wait until the whole album comes out! Anyway, here are the lyrics and song :) The album is coming out September 13th!

Tell me have you ever wanted
Someone so much it hurts
Your lips keep trying to speak
But you just can’t find the words
Well I had this dream once
I held it in my hand
She was the purest beauty
But not the common kind
She had a way about her
That made you feel alive
And for a moment
We made the world stand still
Yeah we owned the night
You had me dim the lights
You danced just like a child
The wine spilled on your dress
And all you did was smile
Yeah it was perfect
And I hold it in my mind
Yeah we owned the night
When the summer rolls around
And the sun starts sinking down
I still remember you, oh, I remember you
And I wonder where you are
Are you looking at those same stars again
Do you remember when
We woke under a blanket
All tangled up in skin
Not knowing in that moment
We’d never speak again
But it was perfect
And I never will forget
When we owned the night
Yeah we owned the night
